Mike Martone Jr.

Musical Director / Set Designer

Mike graduated from Branford High School in 2001 where he once was fortunate to grace this very stage as a cast and pit member. He attended Western Connecticut State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Music education. Mike performed in several opera’s as a member of the WCSU Opera Ensemble. Credits include; Tamino in The Magic Flute, Don Basilio in The Marriage of Figaro, King Kasper in Amahl and the Night Visitors, as well as several others. Mr. Martone graduated with high honors and was awarded the Ruth P. DeVillafranca Certificate, which is given to the most promising music educator as deemed by the music faculty. He also has his Masters of Science in Music Education from WCSU, again graduating Magna Cum Laude. As a founding member of the BP&R Shoreline Theatre Company along with Colin Sheehan, they have brought the local communities the opportunity to learn musical theater and continue that passion well into adulthood. 



Colin Sheehan

Director

Colin was born in NYC and raised in Branford where he performed many times on this very stage & graduated from BHS in 2003. He continued his education at Wagner College where he obtained his BA in Theatre & Speech Performance. He then went on to work in the LGBTQ+ travel industry, TV & Seaview Productions. Colin is a local arts enthusiast & currently serves as the Arts, Culture & Special Events Coordinator for the Town of Branford, Artistic Coordinator & Director of Public Relations at Legacy Theatre & is the Co-Founder & Co-Artistic Director of Branford Parks & Recreation Shoreline Theatre Company. Colin has produced, directed, hosted & performed all over the world, on Broadway, TV & on many cruises & at resorts. Colin is a philanthropist & has helped raise funds/awareness for many organizations in Branford & beyond.  He is a proud Branford Community Foundation Board Member & Godfather/Uncle to Claire. Paola Rarick

Choreographer

Paola is thrilled to be a part of the creative team here at BHS for the past five years. Paola has been owner/artistic director of StudioOne Dance Center in Branford for the past 15 years. She has choreographed numerous musical theatre productions at Walsh intermediate School, Artful Living productions and BP&RSTC.  Some of her favorites being, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, The Music Man, Hairspray and The Producers.  Paola received a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications at SCSU. She resides in Branford with her husband Bill and her daughter Bella.  


Scott A. Towers 

Producer

Scott has been the BHS Spring Musical Producer since 2018. He is thrilled to be working with his friends to keep this important program thriving. Scott is a proud alumnus of Branford High School class of 2006. He is best remembered in Branford for his performance as the “Beast” in Beauty and the Beast. Scott graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a Voice Concentration from Western Connecticut State University in 2011, alongside classmate Mike Martone Jr. He later graduated from Post University with his Master of Science in Higher Education Administration with a Student Affairs Concentration. Scott has since returned to WCSU as the Director of the Pride Center / Deputy Title IX Coordinator. He recently was awarded the BroadwayWorld CT 2023 Best Supporting Performer in a Professional Musical.
